Get Into the Swing: 3 Great Williamsburg Area Golf

Williamsburg is never short on fun things to do, especially in the warmer months (which, luckily, are most of the months). Nothing’s better than a clear day on the golf course with a group of good friends, and if you're staying at King’s Creek Plantation, you’re sitting on the boarder of golf heaven. We partner with the area’s finest courses, so get ready to swing by and tee up!

Kiskiack Golf Club

This is a well laid-out course designed by award-winning architect John LaFoy. Its unique challenges and picturesque greens make it easy to choose a favorite hole. This is a great course for players with a bit of experience—some holes demand accuracy while others are more forgiving. Players appreciate the excellent service and well-maintained course. King’s Creek Plantation is proud to partner with Kiskiack and offers owners excellent rates to play at this breathtaking and highly favored course.

Colonial Heritage Golf Club

The Colonial Heritage Club is a beautiful 18-hole, 175-acre public course where visitors love to perfect their swing. The pristine 72-par course is set against a picturesque backdrop of hills, streams and forests. It also offers practice areas and a golf academy where you can practice up to 50-yard shots. Before you arrive for your game, you can even take a virtual peek at each of the 18 holes to learn how to play the course! Colonial Heritage is known for immaculate playing conditions and a staff that practices outstanding service and hospitality.

Golden Horseshoe Golf Club (Green Course)

Designed by Rees Jones, the son of Robert Trent Jones, Sr., this championship course has a ton of accolades, including being ranked among the top 100 resort courses in America by Golfweek Magazine, so you know the Green Course will be a joy to play! It makes the perfect addition to a weekend itinerary since it’s so close to Colonial Williamsburg and all of its shopping, spa and dining destinations.

Sometimes we’re amazed when we look around and see the quality and variety of offerings in beautiful Williamsburg. There is dining, shopping, history, and recreation for every taste, budget and personality—and when you stay at King’s Creek, you have access to all of it!

Enjoy your game!
