A Very Happy Easter Weekend at King’s Creek
This weekend was the highly anticipated 10,000 Easter Egg Hunt Extravaganza at King’s Creek Plantation! We loved being with you and your family as we hunted for 10,000 eggs and stopped to pose for selfies with the one-and-only Easter bunny!
In addition to being known as an upscale vacation spot (The New York Times’ words!), Williamsburg is also known for its fantastic restaurants. Here are the places where our members and guests went for Easter brunch to refuel after the egg hunt, as well as family-friendly activities we’d recommend for afterward.
Carrot Tree Kitchens Easter Brunch Buffet
Carrot Tree Kitchens served a delicious menu for their Easter Brunch Buffet! Diners had their pick of mouth-watering breakfast casseroles, meat-carving stations, sweet and savory crepes, polenta benedict, country ham, and more!
Recommended follow-up activity: When you have breakfast at Carrot Tree’s Jamestown location, you can head over to the amazing Jamestown Settlement to watch costumed historical interpreters demonstrate life exactly as it was in the 17th century. We’d recommend taking a stroll through the Powhatan Indian Village, where you can see first-hand how Native Americans grew and prepared food, made tools, and processed animal hides (kids love it!).
Easter Sunday Buffet at Riverwalk Restaurant
If you’re up for a hop over to Yorktown, you have to try the breakfast buffet at Riverwalk Restaurant. This Easter, the gorgeous views of the York River made the buffet’s made-to-order omelets and blueberry pancakes taste that much better.
Recommended follow-up activity: After a nice, filling breakfast, head over to Yorktown Beach! You don’t even have to pack a bathing suit to enjoy the water—there are plenty of outdoor activities to choose from, like fishing, boating and picnics. Riverwalk Landing is adjacent to the water, so take a leisurely stroll in the sunshine while you browse the cute shops.
Easter Brunch at Opus 9 Steakhouse
Ah, Opus 9 is our favorite! The Easter brunch menu was out of this world this year, with made-to-order Belgian waffles, eggs benedict with lump crabmeat and pomegranate short cake with sweet cream. No matter what the occasion, the brunch at Opus 9 always leaves guests feeling completely satisfied.
Whatever your vacation plans are, King’s Creek Plantation is here to help your family enjoy your time together! We hope you had a very happy Easter weekend!
